A memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed between Baku State University and the OIC Labour Center.
The memorandum was signed by Rector Elchin Babayev and Director General Azer Bayramov.
During the ceremony, Rector Elchin Babayev stated that in recent years the University has taken important steps toward preparing highly qualified specialists in line with labor market demands, promoting employment, developing human capital, and strengthening professional skills. As the country’s leading higher education institution, the University consistently works to enhance students’ practical knowledge and skills and expand international cooperation through various training programs, research projects, and global partnerships.
He expressed confidence that the signed memorandum would contribute significantly to strengthening cooperation between the parties, particularly in improving workforce preparation according to labor market requirements, as well as implementing joint scientific research, training sessions, conferences, and projects. He also noted that cooperation in the fields of civil law, labor law, and social work would be especially beneficial.
Director General Azer Bayramov emphasized that the main mission of the Center is to support the improvement of employment policies in member countries, the development of a sustainable labor market, and the strengthening of human capital. He noted that the Center carries out various projects focused on labor market analysis, vocational training, professional development programs, increasing youth employment, and promoting innovative employment solutions.
He also highlighted the importance of knowledge and experience exchange through joint initiatives with regional and international partners, noting that cooperation with Baku State University would further strengthen the bridge between education and the labor market and create broad opportunities for joint research, training, and development programs.
