An awareness training on “Eating Disorders” was organized for students by the Psychological Support Sector of Baku State University.
Psychologist Natavan Hasan-zadeh stated that the main purpose of the training was to help students develop healthy eating behaviors and increase awareness of psychological problems related to food.
During the training, the causes, main symptoms, and prevention methods of eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating were explained in detail. Participants were given practical recommendations on building a healthy relationship with food, managing emotional hunger, and developing a more positive mindset regarding body image.
Useful advice on creating a proper and balanced nutrition plan was also provided, and the difference between appetite and real hunger was highlighted for the participants.
At the end of the training, students’ questions were answered, and an exchange of ideas on the topic was held.
