Baku State University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science and the Student Youth Organization, has successfully concluded the “5 Days Urban Weeks” project.
The initiative was implemented to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in urban studies and urban environments. Throughout the program, specialists delivered presentations, seminars, and trainings on urban development, sustainable city planning, and international best practices. Participants also engaged in interactive discussions to strengthen their understanding of contemporary urban challenges.
As part of the week-long activities, an intellectual competition titled “ECO + URBAN” was organized, alongside a field excursion named “Urban Transition: From Icherisheher to White City Baku.” These activities provided students with practical exposure to urban transformation processes in Baku.
The project was carried out in line with the “Year of Urbanism and Architecture” action plan at Baku State University, aiming to encourage active student participation, improve theoretical knowledge, and contribute to the professional development of young people in the field.
