Volunteers of Baku State University (BSU) participated in a large-scale tree-planting campaign dedicated to World Environment Day on June 5.
The campaign was organized in the Mushfigabad settlement area of Baku to contribute to events held on the occasion of World Environment Day.
The initiative brought together representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the IDEA Public Union, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, as well as volunteers from member organizations of the Azerbaijan Volunteer Organizations Union, school students, and eco-volunteers.
More than 200 participants took part in the event. Within the framework of the campaign, Eldar pine and olive trees, suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the Absheron Peninsula, were planted.
It should be noted that the main objective of the campaign was to promote the expansion of green areas, raise public awareness about environmental protection, contribute to combating climate change, and support the development of environmental responsibility within society.
