At Baku State University, 11 master’s level education programs in natural, exact, and technical fields have successfully passed international accreditation and were awarded official certificates.
The accreditation process was conducted by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), based in Kazakhstan.
During the recent evaluation cycle, international expert commissions carried out a comprehensive on-site assessment of 11 specializations, including Solid State Electronics, Biophysics, Discrete Systems, Environmental Chemistry, Geochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Nanomaterials Chemistry, Radiation Materials Science, Mathematical Analysis, and Mathematical Modelling.
Experts reviewed teaching processes, governance mechanisms, institutional performance, academic content, modern teaching methodologies, quality assurance systems, and the university’s material and technical infrastructure. Meetings were also held with academic and administrative staff, students, alumni, and employers to gain a full picture of program effectiveness and relevance.
Representatives of the quality assurance agency also participated in the evaluation process. Based on the final results, all 11 master’s programs were granted full accreditation for a period of five years, valid until 27 March 2031.
This achievement confirms that the university’s academic programs meet international standards and contributes to strengthening its global competitiveness and academic development.
