Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

On March 6, 2026, a celebratory event titled “The Power of Elegance” was held at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University (BSU) to mark March 8 – International Women’s Day.

During the event, Afat Mammadova, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, and Abulfaz Taghiyev, Head of the Department of Zoology and Physiology, delivered speeches highlighting the important role of women in society, science, and education. They emphasized women’s dedication, perseverance, and moral strength, noting that women play a vital role not only within families but also in academic and public life.

As part of the event, a group of active students who had distinguished themselves through their contributions to student activities and the social life of the faculty were recognized and awarded.

The artistic segment of the celebration was organized by the BioTeam Club. The program featured dance performances, poetry recitations, theatrical presentations, and live performances of both national and international music by students, which were warmly received by the audience.

The event, “The Power of Elegance,” not only created a festive atmosphere but also drew attention to the invaluable contributions of women to society.
