The activities of 537 students from Baku State University (BSU) who participated in the successful organization of the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held from November 11-22 of last year were highly appreciated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. They were awarded with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.

During the event, COP29 volunteers, working in 35 different areas across 17 departments, contributed to various tasks, ranging from welcoming guests at the airport to providing support at the Baku Olympic Stadium, where the event was held. They also closely assisted the staff of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operations Company and UN representatives in carrying out the relevant tasks.

It is worth mentioning that various department heads and faculty members of BSU were also awarded certificates of appreciation by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for their effective contributions to the organization of COP29.
