8th International Conference on Sustainable Management (ICSM) Held in Hybrid Format in Bangkok, Thailand

The 8th International Conference on Sustainable Management (ICSM) successfully concluded on July 12, 2024, bringing together a diverse group of thought leaders, industry experts, and researchers from around the world. The conference was held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation, and took place at Krirk University, Bangkok, Thailand.

Associate Professor Rauf Hasanov, Head of the International Relations Office at Baku State University presentation, titled "The Impact of Higher Education and Partnerships in Promoting Sustainable Development: Baku State University (BSU) Case," provided valuable insights into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related initiatives undertaken by Baku State University.

Professor Hasanov emphasized the crucial role that higher education institutions play in promoting sustainable development. He detailed several key initiatives at BSU, including:

University-Business Partnerships: Collaborative efforts between the university and industry to foster innovation and sustainability.

Research Projects: Cutting-edge research aimed at addressing global sustainability challenges.

Curriculum Development: Integration of sustainability concepts into the university’s curriculum to educate future leaders.

Sustainability Campus Initiatives: Efforts to create a more sustainable campus environment through various green initiatives.

He emphasized that BSU is committed to integrating sustainable development into all aspects of our university, from research and teaching to partnerships and university initiatives. He also noted that by collaborating with industry and other stakeholders, universities can make meaningful progress towards achieving the SDGs.

The ICSM continues to serve as a premier platform for sharing innovative ideas and strategies in sustainable management. This year’s hybrid format allowed for broader participation, enabling attendees from different parts of the world to engage in discussions and share their experiences.
