A traditional book exhibition titled "The Bloody and Glorious Page of Our History" was organized at BSU in connection with the 35th anniversary of the January 20th tragedy, one of the most horrific events of the 20th century.
The exhibition, organized by the Scientific Library, showcases information and books in Azerbaijani, Russian, and other languages related to the January 20th events. Featured books include "Freedom Beginning with January 20th," "Genocide Begins with Mothers," "January 20th: The Bloody and Glorious Page of Our History," "January 20th – Our Blood Memory," "Black January," as well as works by Qüdrət Əbdülsəlimzadə such as "20-Year-Old January," "Optimistic Tragedy," and "15 Years Since the Bloody January," Sona Həsənli's "Our Martyrs, Our Pride," Səriyyə Müslümqızı's "Blood Was Falling on the Snow," Rafiq Səməndər's "Martyrs," Faiq Balabəyli's "The Unyielding Whistle of Alarm," and "Freedom Heralds" by Tacir Qurbanov, Almara Nəbiyeva, and Maral Qocaman. Also displayed are Hacı Niftalı Şıx's "The January 20th Tragedy of Our World," Boran Əziz's "From the March Tragedy to Khojaly: Armenian Genocide Against Turks in Azerbaijan," and other publications.
The exhibition also features paintings by students of the "Young Talents" high school under BSU, depicting the Bloody January events, as well as photos showing the horrors of that dreadful night.
