At BSU, a panel discussion titled Victorious Azerbaijani Youth: New Challenges and Goals was held

A panel discussion titled “Victorious Azerbaijani Youth: New Challenges and Goals” dedicated to Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Baku State University (BSU).

The event’s moderator, Ramin Samadov, head of BSU's Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy, stated that since its establishment, BSU has provided unparalleled services to our country, and its main mission, alongside academic and teaching activities, is to contribute significantly to strengthening the statehood, and forming national awareness and mindset by educating highly qualified specialist youth. He mentioned that the panel discussions on the topic "Victorious Azerbaijani Youth: New Challenges and Goals" are focused on the main objectives faced by the victorious youth of the victorious state in the post-war period.

Nicat Mammadli, advisor to the Minister of Education, noted the need for a new global system and emphasized the necessity of young people with innovative, smart, and modern thinking in this matter. He pointed out that in Azerbaijan, efforts are being made to improve the quality of education at all levels, with higher education institutions playing a key role. He also highlighted the importance of increasing young people's interest in science, as the transfer of science to the economy necessitates this.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President of BP for Foreign Relations and Communications in the Middle East and Caspian region, emphasized that Azerbaijan has made great strides over the past 30 years. This development opens new opportunities for young people. The increased competitiveness among young people in the modernization period pushes for a new stage. He stated that student youth must master their field of study at the highest level.

Adila Aliyeva, head of the Projects and Volunteering Department at the "Regional Development" Public Union, highlighted that the volunteer movement, which is part of the state youth policy initiated by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully implemented in the country. She mentioned that the declaration of 2020 as the “Year of Volunteers” in Azerbaijan boosted the creation of volunteer groups in new organizations and state structures, promoting its mass involvement. She also pointed out that the active participation of over 500 BSU students as volunteers during the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Azerbaijan is a remarkable achievement.

Ordukhan Gahramanzade, head of the Youth Organizations Department at the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, spoke about the foundation's activities and the wide opportunities it creates for young people. He noted that the Foundation has become an important part of the country's youth policy by stimulating youth activities and supporting organizations.

Azer Aliyev, Executive Director of the Youth Development and Career Center, mentioned that the activities and initiatives of young people are widely supported by the government. He emphasized that the government’s policy in this area has been very successful, and its results are clearly visible in the lives and activities of young people.

The event continued with discussions and responses to questions from students and young people.
