The "Global Sustainable Development Congress," organized by the influential "Times Higher Education" (THE) agency, is taking place in Bangkok, Thailand. Representing Baku State University (BSU) at the Congress are Asiman Ilyasov, Rector's Quality Assurance Advisor; Shabnam Safarova, Digitalization and Information Technology Advisor; Rauf Hasanov, Head of the International Relations Department; and Jahan Ganizade, Head of the Protocol Sector.

BSU is featured in the Azerbaijan pavilion at the Congress, which attracts prestigious higher education institutions. Over 3,000 representatives and more than 350 speakers are expected to attend the three-day event.

The Congress will also showcase the results of the THE Impact Rankings 2024, the only global ranking that evaluates universities based on the Sustainable Development Goals. This will include a live question-and-answer session exclusively for delegates.
