Employees of the Scientific Library of Baku State University (BSU) participated in an online event on "Artificial Intelligence in Education and Research" held within the framework of the project "Development of Research Potential through the Network of Institutional Repositories in Azerbaijan" (DIRNA), funded by the European Commission and partnered by BSU.

Gültekin Gürdal, the director of the library at İzmir Institute of Technology, gave a presentation on the essence, purpose, advantages, and integration mechanisms of artificial intelligence technologies into teaching and academic research processes. He highlighted that the goal of artificial intelligence is not to imitate human intelligence but to create automated systems that make computer programs smarter and can perform tasks that human intelligence can do, faster, more accurately, and transparently.
