Asim Safarov, Associate Professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology at the Faculty of Biology, Baku State University (BSU), conducted a scientific seminar titled "The Impact of Climate Changes on the Vegetation of the Earth."

Asim Safarov discussed how certain changes in the biosphere result from complex geological and chemical processes occurring within the Earth's inner and outer core, noting that these processes are influenced by solar activity. He highlighted that geomorphological characteristics significantly impact vegetation, which is a crucial component of the biosphere. Climate factors affect plants, leading to changes in their growth and development phases. He observed that the planet's vegetation is rapidly changing, with ecological imbalances and increased human-induced events being recorded in specific areas.

Safarov also addressed the acceleration and delay of seasonal changes, explaining the reasons behind shifts in plant vegetation rhythms. He noted that changes in the atmospheric gas balance and rising air temperatures are among the contributing factors.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants' questions were addressed.
