07-02-2023

The staff of the Department of Bioecology of the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science of Baku State University (BSU) studied the ecological condition of soil cover, mesofauna, flora and ornithofauna in Lokbatan, Binagadi and Kurdakhani lakes of Absheron and the surrounding areas.
Lake Lokbatan is located in the south-west of the Absheron peninsula, in the territory of Garadagh district, its total area is 270 ha, and its height above sea level is -24 m. Around the Lokbatan lake, gray-brown soils are spread around the lake. Gray soils are mainly spread under the sedum, sedum-sedum-ephemeral, sedum-ephemeral vegetation. Conducted soil and camera-laboratory studies show that these soils are subjected to sufficient salinization.
