BSU students visit Shahdag National Park

Students from the Faculty of Biology at Baku State University (BSU) visited the Shamakhi section of Shahdag National Park as part of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World," under the guidance of faculty members Konul Hajiyeva and Sama Ahmadli.

Farhad Jalilov, deputy director for protection of the Shamakhi branch of Shahdag National Park under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and scientific worker Orkhan Ibrahimov provided the students with extensive information about the various species of animals and plants preserved in the park. The students familiarized themselves with numerous rare and endangered species within the National Park. In the Karachohra forest, they observed plant species such as oaks, beeches, birches, blackthorns, hawthorns, and brambles.

Moreover, the students visited the "Safari Park" in the Shamakhi district of Shahdag National Park, where they encountered Altai deer, bison, alpacas, llamas, spotted deer, and other animals.
