22-07-2024

Beginning in the 2024/2025 academic year, Baku State University's Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science will offer a new specialization in "City Cadastre." This field focuses on the comprehensive management of urban data, including legal, environmental, and economic aspects, and involves the organization, registration, and analysis of cadastral information.

The initiative responds to the need for modern urban management approaches following the recent restoration of cities in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh. It emphasizes smart city solutions, sustainable transport, and green energy. The new specialization will address these needs by equipping professionals with expertise in urban planning, topography, soil science, and environmental protection.

In addition, the program aligns with national priorities such as the development of transport corridors, industrial parks, and international economic integration. Graduates will benefit from practical experience through collaborations with the State Service for Real Estate Affairs, the Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, "Azerkosmos" OJSC, and other relevant institutions and organizations.
