An educational event on the topic "Healthy youth - healthy future" was held under the organization of the "Avisenna" club, which operates under the Faculty of Biology of the "BSU Volunteers" organization of Baku State University (BSU).

Emil Valiyev, head of the "Avisenna" club, said that the purpose of holding such events is to contribute to the development of the young generation as a healthy citizen and a useful individual.

Zemina Pashayeva, an infectious disease doctor of the Republican AIDS Center, gave the participants detailed information about the ways of infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), its prevention, examination and treatment.

Afat Mammadova, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, stressed the importance of constantly focusing on educational work in order to achieve more effective results in the fight against drug addiction and other harmful habits, to protect young people from this social evil, and to increase their interest in a healthy lifestyle.

In the second part of the event, AIDS-related brochures and booklets were distributed to the participants, and the employees of the Republican AIDS Center conducted a free examination for students.
