The latest master class at Baku State University's Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science featured a presentation by Professor Bahram Aliyev, the director of the Institute of Ecology at the National Aerospace Agency. The topic of his presentation was "Global Ecological Challenges and Potential Solutions."

During the session, Professor Aliyev highlighted the widespread impact of global climate change on the world, leading to various environmental issues. The report emphasized that the consequences of global warming, such as increased aridity, soil degradation, and reduced biodiversity, are significant concerns. These issues ultimately contribute to desertification, resulting in decreased productivity and challenges in providing sufficient food for the global population. Being an integral member of the global community, Azerbaijan faces pressing challenges, including climate change, soil degradation (erosion, salinization, desertification), and concerns related to food security within the country.

The speaker also shared insights into potential solutions for addressing global climate change, desertification, and food security problems.
