The Physics Faculty of Baku State University (BSU) hosted a scientific seminar dedicated to energy issues in the modern world within the framework of the 'Green World Solidarity Year'. Associate Professor Shahin Alekberov delivered a presentation on the topic 'Energy Issues in the Modern World, Classical and Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Storage and Conversion.' He stressed thar serious interest is sparked by the problems of energy production in the field of traditional and renewable energy sources. The goal of the research conducted in this direction is to address issues such as energy accumulation, storage, conversion, and transmission to energy-consuming devices. The speaker then provided information on the application of energy sources for scientific and practical purposes. A comparative analysis of energy sources in terms of ecology, safety, and economic efficiency was presented.
