A Republican scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev "Ecology and soil sciences in the 21st century" was held under the organization of Baku State University (BSU) Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science.

The event started with the playing of the National Anthem. Later, the dear memories of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan were commemorated with a minute's silence.

Akif Aghbabali, dean of the faculty of ecology and soil science, gave detailed information about the role of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of our independent state, in the modern history of Azerbaijan, the reforms he implemented in the direction of democratic and legal state building, his services in the field of environmental protection and environmental policy of our republic. He said that National Leader Heydar Aliyev worked for the development of Azerbaijan throughout his social and political activities, and did everything he could for our nation and people.
