The most recent scientific seminar hosted by Baku State University's Excellence Center for Research, Development, and Innovations featured the Nanoresearch laboratory. Aynura Karimova, a researcher at the laboratory, presented a report titled "Overview of the Application Potential of Eco-friendly Nanocomposite Materials in Food Packaging." The seminar delved into the latest advancements in designing and researching properties of various biodegradable polymer-based composites used as materials for packaging. The discussion encompassed research studies on commonly used biomaterials in food packaging, exploring diverse modification methods to enhance their properties. The seminar emphasized how nanotechnology serves as a valuable resource for addressing current challenges in food sustainability and safety. Additionally, the presentation analyzed environmental conditions, packaging materials, and their potential interactions with food to ensure improved quality in food packaging.
