BSU students participated in the process of releasing gazelles into the wild in the Acinohur plain. The faculty and students of the Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science of Baku State University (BSU) participated in the process of releasing gazelles into the wild in the Acinohur plain under the organization of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. 8 gazelles were released to the territory of the Gakh State Nature Reserve of Acinohur Plain. This step, which aims to contribute to the protection of gazelles, the restoration of their historical areas, reintroduction, and the formation of their population, will play a major role in the biodiversity of the region. It was noted that the increase in the number of gazelles, which were culled in these places in the 1950s, began 12 years ago, and now their number has reached 345. Measures will be taken in the direction of creating 3 artificial water sources (nohur) for gazelles, sowing grass and other plants for fodder in separate areas, protection and protection.
