The director of Baku Zoo Park, Nazakhat Isayeva, has been invited to contribute to the educational process at the Department of Bioecology, Faculty of Ecology and Soil Science at Baku State University (BSU). She conducted lectures and practical classes on the course "Conservation of Biodiversity" for students specializing in "Ecology" using innovative teaching methods at the Baku Zoo Park. During the lecture in the park's auditorium, students were informed about the representatives of the reptile class. Later, they had the opportunity to get acquainted with unique examples of fauna from Azerbaijan and other countries on the zoo's premises. They also received information about the protection of endangered species listed in Azerbaijan's "Red Book" and the reintroduction program.
It is worth noting that Baku Zoo Park has been operational since 1928. Currently, the zoo houses 125 animal species, 22 of which are included in the "Red Book." The park ensures the conservation of the gene pool of many endangered species, which are bred and released back into nature.
