Baku State University’s (BSU) "BSU Creativity Workz" team successfully participated in the "Green Tech Karabakh" project during the COP29 conference. The team presented the innovative agro-technical solution, the "Irrigo" smart irrigation system, to the audience.
Irrigo is a new-generation agricultural model based on smart technological solutions. Its main goal is to minimize the amount of fresh water used for irrigation in agriculture, clean waters unsuitable for irrigation from organic pollutants, salts, and heavy metals, and make them usable for irrigation, creating an ecosystem that ensures the circulation of this water within the system. The project not only saves water resources but also optimizes material and time resources. The system’s modern features, such as remote control and synchronization with weather forecasts, make it an invaluable solution in the field of agriculture.
During the presentation, representatives from various countries had the opportunity to closely examine the efficiency of the "Irrigo" smart irrigation system, its potential for cost reduction, and its positive impact on ecosystem preservation. The event participants showed great interest in the innovative solutions presented by the system.
