The last general meeting of the Academic Council Members of Baku State University (BSU) was held on December in 2023. Alish Aghamirzayev, vice-rector for social issues, work with students and public relations, presented a report on the work done on the "Action Plan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev". Farda Imanov, vice-rector for education and educational technologies, gave information about the organization of the examination session of the fall semester of the 2023/2024 academic year (undergraduate and graduate education levels). At the meeting, a decision was made regarding the preparation of the Action Plan of BSU on the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" and establishment of the Sustainability Committee including executive leadership to oversee the actions and implementation of the action plan.
