The results of Baku State University’s (BSU) Young Scientist of the Year competition have been announced

At Baku State University (BSU), the results of the "Young Scientist of the Year" competition, dedicated to February 2 – Azerbaijan Youth Day, have been announced.

Based on the decision of the competition committee, Lalə Qəhrəmanlı, an associate professor at the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials, showed the highest performance and was named the "Young Scientist of the Year" in the fields of natural, exact, and technical sciences. She was awarded a diploma and a cash prize.

Four other BSU employees who distinguished themselves with their high scientific achievements – Mohammad Bagirov, a PhD student at the Department of Chemical Physics of Nanomaterials; Gulnar Atakishiyeva, a researcher at the Fine Organic Synthesis Research Laboratory; Dashgin Mammadli, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information and Document Management; and Nigar Seyidli, a PhD student – were awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.

It is worth mentioning that BSU has been organizing the "Young Scientist of the Year" competition for the past five years on February 2 – Azerbaijan Youth Day. The goal of the competition is to reward BSU master's students, PhD students, and employees under the age of 35 who have achieved significant scientific results through active work during the year.
