Students of the Biology Faculty of Baku State University took part in an educational excursion to the Central Botanical Garden organized by the faculty’s “Bioteam” club.
The main purpose of the excursion was to familiarize students with plant diversity, strengthen their theoretical knowledge in botany through practical observations, and develop their scientific observation skills.
During the excursion, Head of the Tropical and Subtropical Plants Laboratory Aytan Huseynova provided students with detailed information about the biodiversity of tropical and subtropical plants, their morphological and ecological characteristics, climate adaptation mechanisms, as well as their importance in scientific research and conservation.
Students observed various plant species at the Central Botanical Garden and conducted practical studies on live plant samples. The excursion created an opportunity for them to apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to a practical environment and expand their understanding of plant systematics, morphology, and ecology.
