Fourth-year students of the Geology Faculty of Baku State University are continuing their industrial internship at Azerbaijan International Mining Company Limited. The internship involves students majoring in Geology, Geological and Geophysical Engineering, and Mining Engineering.
During the internship, students become familiar with operational processes in the mining environment and apply their theoretical knowledge through field observations and practical activities. As part of the training, they follow the main stages of geological exploration, learn the principles of field data collection and preliminary analysis, and develop skills in working with modern geological approaches and software tools. Students also systematize their findings and present them in the form of daily records and final reports. This approach, aligned with internationally applied field-training models, contributes to the development of independent analytical and decision-making skills.
Throughout the internship period, students’ activities are continuously supervised and guided by specialists from both the University and the company. Compliance with occupational safety and labor protection regulations remains one of the main priorities.
It should be noted that the industrial internship is implemented within the framework of cooperation between the University and the company and represents an important stage in the professional preparation of students.
