Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Within the framework of the Year of Urban Planning and Architecture, an event entitled “From the Mission of National Salvation to the Honorable Path of Modern State-Building” was jointly organized by the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), the territorial party organization located at “33 Z. Khalilov Street (BSU),” and the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU). The event was dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The event was attended by Chairman of the YAP Yasamal District Organization Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Chairman of the territorial party organization Zahid Jafarov, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry Fuad Karimli, representatives of the district party organization, party activists, academic staff, and students.

The program began with a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.

Opening the event, Zahid Jafarov emphasized the exceptional role of Heydar Aliyev in the establishment and strengthening of modern independent Azerbaijan. He noted that the National Leader’s farsighted policies laid the foundation for a strong and stable state, overcoming the political and economic challenges faced by the country during the early years of independence. He also highlighted the continuation of this political course under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

In his address, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev underlined the historical significance of Heydar Aliyev’s contributions to the development of Azerbaijan, describing him as the architect of modern Azerbaijani statehood and the founder of the ideology of Azerbaijanism. He stressed that the achievements of contemporary Azerbaijan are rooted in the National Leader’s vision and that the country continues to advance successfully under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He also referred to the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as one of the most significant accomplishments in the country’s modern history.

Dean Fuad Karimli highlighted that Heydar Aliyev’s lifelong mission was to build a strong, modern, and prosperous state founded on national unity. He noted that the National Leader’s political legacy continues to guide Azerbaijan’s development and that the country is reaching new heights through the successful implementation of this vision.

At the conclusion of the event, party membership cards were presented to new members, and the anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party was performed.
