The pedagogical internship of fourth-year students specializing in Chemistry Teaching at the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU) continues in secondary schools across Baku. Having successfully completed the passive observation phase of their teaching practice, the students have now begun conducting open lessons.
Students of the KML067A group, who are undertaking their internship at the Gifted Talents Lyceum affiliated with BSU, have been teaching chemistry classes using modern instructional methods. Between May 4 and May 7, 2026, they delivered lessons for grades 7, 8, and 9 on topics including “Oxides,” “Oxidation and Reduction,” “Indicators of Chemical Reactions,” and “Bases and Basic Media.”
During the lessons, virtual experiments were demonstrated, and a high level of student engagement was ensured through interactive teaching approaches. The lessons conducted by the trainee teachers were highly appreciated by methodologist instructor Khanimbaci Mammadova.
The pedagogical internship plays a significant role in strengthening students’ teaching competencies, enhancing their practical classroom management skills, and preparing them for their future professional careers as educators.
