Sustainable Development Goals at Baku State University.

Alikamal Hasan, a ninth-grade student at the “Young Talents” Lyceum affiliated with Baku State University (BSU), has won a silver medal at the 30th Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO 2026) held in Romania.

The Azerbaijani national team delivered an impressive performance at the competition, earning a total of three silver medals and three bronze medals.

This achievement adds to Alikamal Hasan’s growing list of international successes. He was also awarded a silver medal at the European Mathematics Cup, a competition that brought together participants from 35 countries.

The Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (JBMO) is regarded as one of the region’s most prestigious mathematics competitions, bringing together hundreds of talented secondary school students from different countries each year.

Baku State University congratulates Alikamal Hasan on his outstanding achievement and wishes him continued success in future international competitions.
