Students from the Faculties of Information and Records Management and Oriental Studies of Baku State University (BSU) visited the university’s Heydar Aliyev Museum on 10 March 2026.
During the visit, the Museum Director, Afat Seyidzade, provided detailed information about the museum, which has operated at the university since 1997 with the personal approval of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. She emphasized the museum’s important role in preserving, studying, and promoting the rich legacy of the prominent statesman.
Visitors were introduced to exhibitions displaying photographs and archival documents reflecting various stages of the life and career of Heydar Aliyev, a distinguished alumnus and honorary doctorate recipient of BSU. An interactive electronic museum platform also presented comprehensive information about his life, public service, and contributions to Azerbaijan’s development.
The museum’s exhibits further highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s longstanding relationship with Baku State University, showcasing documents and materials illustrating his support for the institution and his commitment to the advancement of higher education and science in Azerbaijan.
It was noted that, within the framework of BSU’s Action Plan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the museum was comprehensively renovated and modernized in 2023 in accordance with contemporary museum standards.
