On September 25–26, 2025, the 2nd ADA Symposium on Quality Assurance in Higher Education was held, organized by ADA University in partnership with the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
The event brought together representatives of universities engaged in quality assurance in higher education across the country, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences. Discussions focused on national accreditation, internal quality assurance, curriculum evaluation, teaching and learning, human resource development, sustainability, and project management. Both local and international experts participated in the symposium.
Baku State University (BSU) was represented by the rector’s advisor on quality assurance, Asiman Ilyasov.
In his presentation, he provided insights on aligning quality assurance mechanisms in higher education with international rankings, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and sustainability principles. He also presented examples of how internal and external quality assurance systems are reflected in the SDGs and in international ranking criteria.
