The "Career Path" project, implemented by the Career and Alumni Center of Baku State University (BSU), has been successfully completed. The project aimed to develop young professionals who meet the requirements of the modern labor market, are able to purposefully plan their careers, and possess analytical and flexible thinking skills.
Within the framework of the project, 33 students were selected through interviews from the 1st and 3rd year students of the Faculties of Ecology and Soil Science, Philology, Geography, History, Information and Document Management, and Oriental Studies. During the selection process, students’ motivation, interest in self-development, and potential were considered as the main criteria.
The program included trainings and info-sessions on topics such as "Career Planning," "Labor Market Research," "Setting SMART Goals," and "CV and Resume Preparation." Participants also received individual mentoring support, were assigned trial tasks for the real labor market, and engaged in career planning based on the SMART approach.
Throughout the project, students gained the opportunity to analyze their strengths and areas for development, form analytical thinking regarding labor market dynamics, familiarize themselves with digital and traditional job search methods, prepare for interviews, and experience simulations of recruitment processes.
At the conclusion of the project, 22 students were awarded certificates for their successful performance.
