From 3–9 August 2025, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Sport Academy (ASA), organized the international summer camp “A Step Towards Sustainable Development” at the Quba Olympic Sports Complex.

The camp brought together young participants from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. Representing Baku State University (BSU), students joined the event alongside the University’s Advisor to the Rector on Quality Policy, Asiman Ilyasov, who was invited as a guest speaker.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in lectures, training sessions, group work, and discussions on topics such as the Sustainable Development Goals, healthy lifestyles, gender equality, sports and well-being, and responding to global challenges.

In addition to the educational component, the camp featured cultural evenings, inter-team sports competitions, and excursions to the historical and cultural landmarks of the Quba region. Participants also showcased their national traditions, fostering stronger ties of friendship and cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries.

At the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to all participants. The organizers emphasized their commitment to continuing such international initiatives in the future.
