Elvira Tahmazli, a scientific staff member of the Cell Culture and Genome Editing Research Laboratory (ETL) at the Baku State University (BDU) Research, Development, and Innovation Excellence Center, gave a presentation on the topic "The Importance of Diagnostics of Bee Diseases" at the scientific-practical conference on "Solutions to Problems Arising from Bee Diseases." The event was organized by the Professional Beekeepers Association and the "Qinyətoğulları" beekeeping farm.

The conference, held in the city of Sheki, was attended by representatives from the Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA), as well as Larisa Siqunova, the chairwoman of the Beekeepers Association of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Anna Brandorf, head of the Beekeeping Laboratory at the N.V. Rudnitski North-East Federal Agricultural Science Center of the Russian Federation, and Viktoriya Soroker, senior scientific officer at the Entomology Institute of the Agricultural Research Organization in Israel.
